1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CannonLaw (“CannonLaw”, “we”, “our”, or “the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
CannonLaw provides AI-assisted contract analysis and risk reporting. CannonLaw is not a law firm and does not itself provide legal services, and no attorney–client relationship is formed by using the Service. The Service is informational only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult a licensed attorney before relying on any analysis for legal decisions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use the Service.
4. Accounts & Security
- You are responsible for your account credentials and activity.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security concerns.
5. Payments, Pricing & Refunds
- Payment is due at submission. Pricing is displayed prior to checkout.
- Current pricing options are listed below and may change from time to time. Any changes will be reflected at checkout.
- Once processing begins, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If a refund is granted, payment processor fees are not refundable (e.g., card network and processor charges, currency conversion, or bank transfer fees).
- You authorize CannonLaw to collect amounts due via your selected payment method and to net any prior negative balances against future payments.
- Chargebacks or disputes may incur non-refundable processor dispute fees and may result in suspension of the Service until resolved.
6. User Content & License
You grant CannonLaw and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive license to process, analyze, and store your uploaded contracts and related data solely to provide and improve the Service. You represent you have all necessary rights to upload such content.
7. AI Output & Disclaimers
AI-generated suggestions are informational and not legal advice. All outputs are generated by AI and have not been reviewed by a licensed attorney. You remain solely responsible for evaluating any deliverable before acting on it, and you should seek independent legal counsel for your specific situation.
8. Prohibited Uses
- Violating applicable laws or third-party rights.
- Uploading unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
- Attempting to reverse engineer or misuse the Service.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, UI, and branding, is owned by CannonLaw or its licensors. Except for permissions expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy.
11. Availability & Modifications
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part) at any time with or without notice.
12. Warranties & Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CANNONLAW AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CannonLaw harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or breach of these Terms.
15. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Virginia, excluding conflicts of law rules. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Fairfax County, Virginia, except where prohibited.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the “Last updated” date indicates acceptance of the changes.
